What we collect
For each building we hold information the building provides or residents enter: names, email addresses, mobile numbers, unit and ownership or tenancy details, emergency contacts, maintenance reports with photos or videos, and access-card requests. On this website we collect what you submit in forms.
Why we collect it
To run the building’s app for its building management, owners and residents, to send notifications you ask for, and to respond to enquiries.
Who can see it
Building management for your building. Owners see maintenance issues with reporters’ names hidden. We don’t sell personal information.
Where it’s stored
On secure servers run for us by our hosting provider. These servers are currently outside Australia (in Malaysia). Under Australian Privacy Principle 8, we take reasonable steps to make sure overseas providers handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Contact us if your building needs data held in Australia.
Access and correction
You can view and update your details in the app, or ask us or your building manager. To make a complaint, email hello@watchdogstrata.com. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
